  My love of antique and vintage photography of people and their fashions is what started my interest in photography when I was a teen. To capture an exact moment in time and turn it into a photograph is to take something out of context from it’s reality, turn it into a material object and then own it. It is to me, as if events were happening naturally and then in an instant, a moment was frozen in a photograph, which allows the viewer to own an intimate introspection on a second that would have passed along with all events that continue through time. With photographs of people, a captured gaze may evoke a feeling of longing each time the photograph is viewed, or a captured expression can tell us a story that the subject may not want to have revealed, but because we are allowed to intimately study that exact moment, we discover it anyways. And sometimes it is just fun to get a candid shot and make up your own stories about what they were thinking! I've enjoyed taking photos for years and hope to continue to grow as a photographer throughout my life.
